VBS BLUES PARTY AND JAM SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 22, 3 PM
Join Vermont Blues Society for an afternoon of music and merriment on Sunday, September 22 beginning at 3:00 at Red Square in Burlington.
3-4 pm Dave Keller Trio
4-4:30 pm light food and refreshment
4:30-6:00 pm VBS Blues Jam featuring the Nobby Reed Band- all players welcome!
7-11pm Rye Dog & Friends
The Dave Keller Trio will kick off the festivities, followed by a jam hosted by the Nobby Reed Band. The music continues into the night with Rye Dog taking the stage from 7-11 pm.
All blues musicians are invited to bring their instruments and sign-up for a spot in the jam. Admission is free, and light refreshments will be served. If weather permits the music will be held outside, inside if not. Rain or shine!

Doug Whynott To Represent Vermont at International Blues Challenge
The Vermont Blues Society is pleased to announce that Douglas Whynott will be representing Vermont in the solo/duo category at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, to be held January 7 - 11th. Doug is a specialist at boogie-woogie style piano and features the creations of Sammy Price, a legendary blues pianist and house musician for Decca records in the early days of blues recordings. We hope to be able to feature Doug’s stylings in a Vermont setting later this year - stay tuned.
