Vermont Blues Society Annual Meeting
November 17th 2019
Place: Arts Riot, 400 Pine St., Burlington, VT
Time: 4:30 - 8:30
Tickets: $5. members, $15 non- members (includes membership).
Meeting: There will be a short meeting to review the past year and talk about plans for the future. The board (presently 5 members) is planning to increase its size and we will be taking nominations. There will be a short form to fill out – who are you nominating and why – what skills can they offer. (You can nominate yourself also.) We meet about once a month and are open to using Facetime, Skype, etc. if travel is too far. We need people who can stay in communication, help with social media, data entry, and organizational details and promotion. We would like people who are Blues enthusiasts and are willing to spend a little time each month to help keep the Blues alive and well in Vermont.
Music: Music will showcase IBC winners Nobby Reed (band) and Sunny Lowdown (solo.) Paul Asbell and Chuck Eller (from the Unknown Blues Band) will join Left Eye Jump's rhythm section for a set of roots blues with guests, including vocalist Jess Leone, a new talent on the scene. Bill Ellis w/Steve Feinbloom playing roots acoustic blues will start the music off.
Fundraising: There will be a silent auction and a raffle to support the IBC winners and
VBS T-shirts will be on sale.
Food: Arts Riot restaurant will be open. Light snacks will be provided.

Did you know you can post your events on the VBS (Vermont Blues Society) Facebook page? It’s quite simple… here are the steps. First ‘like’ the VBS page. Then create an event on your own Facebook page and add the VBS as a co-host to your event. It will then be on both pages. Ole!
